- Imprint from artist's prospectus. On double leaves; free endpapers included in pagination. A unique artist's book; title and artist's name are the only text printed from type. Each leaf of Fabriano mouldmade paper, after sizing and burnishing, is "delineated and painted using watercolor, ink in full strength and in dilution, pastel, graphite, and gold. Some anodized metals can be seen as well, especially on the title page. During the drawing process, the pastels are rubbed into the paper ..."--artist's prospectus. "The binding is a segmented drumleaf structure with drummed boards over a French-manufactured leather spine of dark violet ... ketone varnish was applied to the front and back covers. Over this is an application of wax. The box is covered in paste medium paper, made by the artist, over a triple wall contruction. Laminations that cover and line the box are also drummed"--artist's prospectus. Signed and dated by the artist on title page: T. Ely 2004. Artist's prospectus (1 sheet ([1] p.)), removed to Bibliographical File. Bound in purple and blue hand-illustrated boards, with purple leather shelfback, blue and white decorated endpapers, edges stained blue with hand-lettering; in a blue decorated cloth clamshell case.
